Interestingly, there exist both true baby carrots, which are simply small, immature carrots, and what are known as "baby-cut carrots," which are small carrot pieces cut from normal, large carrots. The former are sometimes thought to be extra tasty. The latter seem pretty wasteful. Know what you're buying.
