Check it: A University of New South Wales science lecturer who goes by the name of Richard Buckland is broadcasting his classes on YouTube. But before you get all "this sort of thing isn't new you blog-writing dolt" on me, read on. He's using the videos as the basis for a class that advanced high schoolers can take to earn college credits.From PSFK:High school students who want to learn more about computing and mathematics can take this advanced, first-year university level class for free. While studying the video lectures at home, participants will only have to come to the university one night a week for a two and a half hour lab where they can ask questions and socialize. To get course credit, the students just have to complete the same assignments and tests as Buckland's in-classroom students.This sounds like a great, flexible way to prepare high school students for college life and learn how to better manage their time-especially since they don't have to miss any of their classes to experience Buckland's.
