In this short promo, Tim Prebble, a film sound designer with whole slew of B-movies to his name, shows us how to make the stomach-churning sound effects that bring flesh-eating zombies and alien goop to life—by massacring vegetables. He rips celery from its heart, stalk by stalk, machetes squash, and creates a hideous squelchy sucking sound by jamming his fingers deep into a cantaloupe. So now you know: Vegetables really are scary!
