Looking for a local farmers' market? The federal government now has an app for that.
The USDA rebooted its National Farmers Market Directory, which now includes a mapable, searchable database of the country's 6,132 farmers' markets.
While the agency should be applauded for releasing this massive data set and for including locations where food stamps are accepted, it's curious why they rolled it out just in time for winter.
