Gap's new logo has offended some people's design taste. What if other logos went the same route?
The Gap has redesigned its logo, and the consensus has been lukewarm-to-frosty at best. Now, it seems as though it might have all been branding hijinx, an experiment in crowdsourcing that has the brand now looking for designers to fix their ugly problem. (Some people on Twitter are already beseeching talented graphic designers to ignore the call for new logos.)
In the meantime, GOOD contributor Joe Ippolito has imagined a world overtaken by similar logos. "Here's what would happen if the designer of the new Gap logo was unleashed on the world's most recognizable brands," he writes.
