Infographic: What's a B Corporation?

With the number of companies in the world today, it can be hard to discern which truly embody social and environmental values worth supporting. Thanks to certification efforts like those through B Lab, it's becoming a little easier to measure a company's business practices through a standardized process. Businesses can apply for certification from B Lab to become a Certified B Corporation, which is an accreditation showing that a company voluntarily meets certain standards of transparency, accountability, and performance as part of the B Corps community.

[UPDATE] We've updated this infographic to clarify that while the businesses that have an average B Impact score of 84 are not yet certified B Corps, they are still sustainably-minded businesses that have voluntarily sought to assess their environmental and social impact. According to B Lab, these sustainable businesses typically score higher than an ordinary business would.
