In a recent test drive, a Nissan Leaf traveled 116 miles on a single charge. That's good news for city usage.
According to Engadget, the pilot of this test drove "casually and slightly below the speed limit," but not "like an obsessed hypermiler." The air conditioning was turned on for the duration of the test run.
All things considered, 116 miles won't do much to cure skeptics of their range anxiety, but it sounds pretty promising for a city car.
