Everyone knows the VP loves his trains, so his new opinion piece at Huffington Post isn't really telling us anything new. It's a little misty-eyed in moments, but it captures his love of the rail nicely, and his years riding them. Then he does what politicians always do, which is spin those personal anecdotes into a Larger Point of some kind. In this case, a defense of the world's worst train system: Amtrak.Amtrak's shortcomings aside, it's a nice read, and hopefully can help put some more muscle behind supporting our terrible train system (and eventually making it great).Have a read, here.
