These guys attached a bag of 200 airplanes to a helium filled weather balloon and launched them from the edge of space above Berlin. Each plane has a memory card containing a unique message. If you find a plane, they want to hear from you. So far, these little planes have made it as far as Canada, California, and South Africa.
