We are hosting a jam session on Turntable.fm. Drop by and check out the music members of the GOOD community are listening to.
This Friday, we'll be experimenting with our first ever GOOD Jams, an online event where the GOOD community can join forces to share their favorite music. We’ll create a room on Turntable.fm—an online music sharing site where you can DJ and listen to great music with friends—called GOOD Jams. Join our room to check out what fellow GOOD members are listening to. And if you feel inspired, you can take the stage and share your own favorites. Make your own music? We hope you will share that with us, too.
The event will be held on July 27, from noon to 4 p.m. PST. Here’s how it works. Five DJs take turns adding to the 'room' playlist. We’ve got a couple local artists signed up to play their music, but if a DJ spot is available, you can hop in yourself. Listeners can upvote and downvote songs. If you get upvoted, you earn DJ points. If you get downvoted, your tune will be skipped. The DJ with the most points by 4 p.m. will earn a GOOD t-shirt.
So mark your calendars for Friday, July 27, and search for GOOD Jams on Turntable.fm. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter @GOOD for event updates. See you there!
For musicians interested in DJing their own music, please RSVP by July 26 via email at projects@goodinc.com. It’s easy to play your own songs (you just upload them from your computer), and we’d love to hear your stuff.
