An invention that’s about to be funded on Indiegogo is the perfect accessory for people who love coffee as well as those who hate the taste (but still need a caffeine fix). Created by Adam Paulin and Alex Kryuk, the Joule caffeine bracelet works just like a nicotine patch. It has a replaceable strip on the inside that slowly secretes the equivalent of a cup of coffee into your bloodstream over the course of four hours.
There are a lot of advantages to getting your caffeine fix like an IV drip. There’s nothing to drink, so your teeth won’t turn yellow and your stomach won’t get upset from the acid in the coffee. Plus, there are no calories. So if you normally drink a Dunkin’ Donuts Frozen Caramel Coffee Coolatta with Cream every morning, that saves you 990 calories a day. And it’s relatively inexpensive. The starter kit costs $29, and each patch runs around a buck.
The only bad part about the Joule is that it doesn’t go very well with donuts.
