Ever wonder how some of the world's most beautiful Renaissance men would have dressed if they were transported in time and place to contemporary Brooklyn? French photographer Léo Caillard, along with retoucher Alexis Persani wondered just that when they set about creating the series "Street Stone." In these humorous images, centuries-old sculptures of chiseled, marble men are paired with outfits one would find in abundance in any hipster epicenter. Think urban lumber jack meets neoclassical.
Instead of actually dressing these distinguished gentlemen, however, the two digitally manipulated the wardrobe onto them using Photoshop. An example of their technique is demonstrated in the video below. The result of their handiwork is a lot of the classics: Levi's, Vans, and Ray Bans; joining forces with classical sculpture to create a jarring—albeit hilarious—juxtaposition.
