From extracurricular activities to academic projects in the classroom, schools always can use extra help to fund projects both big and small. Since 1980, Clorox has donated more than $84 million to nonprofit organizations and community programs with a focus on schools. To further help schools around the country, the Clorox Company is presenting the Power A Bright Future program. Now in its fourth year, the program awards 7 grants—4 based on votes and 3 on merit—that total $200,000 in funding for schools to use on new or existing programs. You can help decide which schools will receive a grant by casting your vote from November 12 to December 19.
Each school has been nominated into one of three categories:
This year more than 2,500 schools were nominated but only 7 will receive a grant. It’s up to you to determine which schools do. The nomination with the most votes overall will receive a $50,000 grant. The nomination with the most votes in each category—as well as a judge’s pick from each category—will receive a $25,000 grant.
Vote once every day from November 12 to December 19 to help your favorite programs win. You can vote here online from a computer or mobile device, or you can text the key word of your favorite school to 95248 to submit your vote. What are you waiting for? Start casting your vote now.
