The photo you see here was taken 47 years ago today, just as the astronaut (read: the American hero) John Glenn was boarding the Friendship 7 capsule, in which he would become the first man American to complete an orbit of Earth.The week you're reviewing here began with Presidents' Day (followed shortly thereafter with the signing of a rather sizable bill by our current president).
