Janet Napolitano’s candid response to underwear-clad students is pretty crappy.
Students interrupted a UC regents meeting, protesting recent tuition hikes throughout the University of California system. What caused them to strip down and reveal the words “student debt” emblazoned across their underwear? A plan to hike tuition five percent every year for five years. UC regent President Janet Napolitano initially expressed understanding towards concerned students, “they want to be sure that their voices are being heard and I want to commit to them their voices are being heard.” Oh, really? Her candid response, captured on a hot mic during the students’ display, tells a different story.
