Taking a moment to show someone they matter could save a life.
This post is from MSW@USC. We think they have an important message to share.
Taking a moment to show someone they matter could save a life. This summer the USC School of Social Work has the privilege to sponsor the launch of a grassroots movement, spreading positive mental health, wellness, and random acts of kindness. Telling someone they matter can have a greater impact than you may know, which is why the You Matter campaign encourages you to share ‘Care Cards’ with as many people as you can.
We urge you to take 30 seconds today to reach out and tell someone why they matter to you!
How It Works
We challenge you to take this opportunity to perform as many random acts of kindness as you can and encourage the recipients to pay it forward. Best of all, it's free. Simply reaching out could have an impact on someone’s life.
Not sure how to get started? Download a You Matter Care Card and read our post on 60 Ways to Use a Care Card for inspiration.
Become A "You Matter" Ambassador
Volunteer ambassadors help spread the word about the You Matter campaign in their community. We are using guerilla-marketing techniques to leave surprise messages in coffee shops, bookstores, dressing rooms and more. If you or anyone you know is interested in becoming an ambassador for this campaign, please have them reach out to USC School of Social Work Community Manager Gaby Acosta at gabriela[dot]acosta[at]usc[dot]edu.
Thank you for paying it forward and remember, #youmatter!
