How much greenery surrounds you? Are street trees, parks, and gardens common in your community? How about natural drainage systems and green roofs? What sort of landscape can you see on the horizon-farms and forests or strip malls and suburbs? How much of the area around your city has been preserved as a greenbelt? How clean is the water in your local lakes, rivers, or bays? How does your city compare to cities that are rapidly greening and surrounded by protected green belts, like Curitiba, Brazil, Portland, Oregon, or Stockholm, Sweden?
