Cretique's gallery of classic American package designs from the early 20th century fills me with nostalgia for an era I've only experienced in film and literature. The designs—for things like Brillo Pads, Band Aids, and Eveready Batteries—are just awesome. Noticeably absent from the packaging: Plastic. These jars and boxes could be reused or recycled, and they're pretty easy on the eyes.
