Before I make my way to Mumbai—the next stop on the BMW Guggenheim Lab’s journey—I will be visiting Naples to report on the sixth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF), from September 2-7.
Every two years, UN-Habitat hosts the WUF, the world's largest conference on urban issues. Attended by more than 10,000 people from around the globe, the WUF provides a platform for city and national leaders to engage in debate and help guide UN-Habitat's agenda for the coming years. The conference also represents an opportunity for people working on issues in their individual cities to connect and learn from one another. With the theme “The Urban Future,” this year’s conference will deal with environmental, social, and economic issues that are certain to shape city life in the years ahead.
Join me as I blog live from the WUF on the Lab | Log next week. Don't forget to follow along live on Twitter as well at @BMWGuggLab.
See you in Naples!
