What do NASA space telescopes and mosaic tiles have in common? Not much, except for Ted Acworth, founder of innovative, high-tech mosaic company, Artaic. Acworth, a former NASA engineer with a PhD in mechanical engineering, turned his lifelong love of mosaics into a tech startup with a desire to make the colorful tile decorations more affordable and accessible.
Acworth and the rest of the team at Artaic are developing new technologies for image processing and robotic manufacturing, with a goal to become the leading experts on designing and fabricating mosaics.
