We hope you've had a chance to read Daniel Brook's article "The Mormons are Coming" in our latest issue. If you have, you might take a look at Salon's review of Terryl Givens' People of Paradox: A History of Mormon Culture as a corollary. Givens attempts to wrestle with such questions as whether Mormons are Christians and how Mormonism meshes with different political ideologies. It's an interesting review, one that's certain to get some blood boiling one way or another.
