For those who want to throw a dinner party but don't know who to invite—or who want to reach out beyond a group of friends to meet new people—yes, there's an app for that. SupperKing helps connect guests and hosts for a "peer to peer in-home dining experience." A host enters all the relevant details about their party, from the date, location, and theme to the type of cuisine, number of seats available, and cost to attend.
Hosts can choose to screen each guest via Twitter and Facebook before inviting them into their home. The app allows reviews of both hosts and guests to help future users choose the best company. And if someone wants to use the app just to organize details for a party with their own friends, that works, too.
The app is currently available for Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
