The New York Times has a great infographic that breaks down how the money is apportioned in America's $3.69 trillion 2011 budget. More than half of the budget goes to "mandatory spending"-stuff that's locked in by existing policy; defense weighs in at $738 billion; and the interest America pays to debt holders at home and abroad grew by 33.5 percent.
