The Pew Research Center has a nifty 14-question quiz: How Millennial Are You?
Depending on whether you read a newspaper in the last 24 hours, contacted a government official in the past year, or think that people of mixed races marrying each other is a good thing, apparently determines where you fall along the millennial continuum. Now add to that whether, in addition to writing an essay, you had to make a video to get into college. The New York Times reported earlier this week that at Tufts University, of its 15,000 applicants, nearly 1,000 have submitted videos. Dozens have made their way onto YouTube.
Watching Amelia Downs do her math dances-the line graph, the scatter plot-and Isabella Schiller's choreographed monologue of Macbeth (both videos posted below) makes me think that a whole new generational category might be in order.
Out of curiosity, what did you score? I got an 86.
