And that’s not all he said about the fledgling GOP candidate

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s candidacy looks more like a giant blob of right-wing Freudian id than one with fully-formed policies or a clear worldview. He has relied on slogans, platitudes and bullying instead of giving Republicans any mature policy positions. So why haven’t right-wing voters rallied around Ted Cruz, whose message is better aligned with Republican values? Many believe that it’s because Cruz is simply an unlikable person and former Republican Speaker of The House, John Boehner, couldn’t agree more.
President Ronald Reagan once uttered his famous Eleventh Commandment saying, “Thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican,” and, after last night, John Boehner has some repenting to do. At an event at Stanford University focusing on the current presidential election, Boehner called Cruz “a miserable son of a bitch.” He’s “Lucifer in the flesh,” Boehner said, according to Stanford Daily. “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
This isn’t the first time Boehner has spoken ill of the devil. In the past, Boehner called Cruz a “false prophet” and a “Jackass.” It’s believed their animosity stems from Cruz’s attempts to shutdown the government over Obamacare funding in 2013. Cruz reacted to Boehner’s remarks on Twitter, saying: “Tell me again who will stand up to Washington? Trump, who’s Boehner’s ‘texting and golfing buddy,’ or Carly [Fiorina] & me?” One wonders if Fiorina knows she may have made a deal with the devil.
