The Nation's First Carbon Tax, Passed

Wow, California is on fire (in the figurative, NBA Jam sense). Last Thursday the state's supreme court legalized gay marriage and today Bay Area air pollution regulators passed the nation's first carbon tax. The folks at TreeHugger wanted a more aggressive measure but we say fantastic start. Next Thursday expect the Mount Shasta city council to prove the Goldbach conjecture or something.Photo from http2007.
