Brazilian artist Néle Azevedo's "ice men" have melted away everywhere from Ireland to Berlin in an effort to raise awareness around climate change. In 2010, in the German capital, she placed 1,000 melting men in Gendarmenmarkt Square highlighting global warming. Each time these hunched over characters—whom the artist personalizes one by one—occupy a location, they slowly disappear in the sun creating beautiful puddles that serve as a reminder of how man is affected by our ever changing planet.
