The mangroves of La Tirana, El Salvador are a beautiful place to visit and explore. But for Jorge and Nahun, the mangroves are a way of life. These locals, along with many others, face the extinction of the mangroves and the species that inhabit it due to rising water levels and pollution from industry. It's a great reminder to be mindful of nature in our travels and practice Leave No Trace ethics, always paying respect to the species and locals that call these wondrous environments their home.
