Seems like there's more and more chatter about augmented reality stuff lately (or else I just started paying attention): Last week, we giddily told you about Tokyo's code-covered building, for example. But gimmicky architecture aside, how could AR actually change the way we live, shop, and operate? When you follow that line of questioning, things get creepy quick. Keiichi Matsuda, an architecture student, made this film called Augmented (Hyper)Reality: Domestic Robocop to look at the social and architectural consequences of augmented reality technology. It's playful, and kind of unsettling, and totally worth watching.[vimeo][/vimeo]Beyond being interesting to think about, what do you think are the perils and advantages of AR?
