The debate over Wikipedia is really fascinating, and seems to really be boiling down to an old guard/new guard-type battle. Many people, especially of an older generation, just will not accept that information on the internet could be accurate. Nature seems to come close to proving this wrong by comparing Wikipedia to The Britannica. The result, basically the same amount of errors. Link.
Cory Doctorow over at Boing Boing also a spirited defense of the Wikipedia.
And the Village Voice devotes their cover story to the online encyclopedia, and how it shapes information in a way more appropriate for the digital world.
