New Jersey Dance Team Helps Teens Graduate

In Camden, New Jersey, the high school dropout rate is 49%. Camden Sophisticated Sisters, a dance and drill team, is aiming to do something about that. The organization not only gets teens to dance their buns off, it also provides them with an emotional support system and community outside of the prevalent gang culture. It’s hard to argue with the numbers – kids who go through CSC graduate high school a rate of 100%.
