Joyce Millman started her career in the ’80s as a rock critic for the Boston Phoenix. In 1987, she moved to the San Francisco Examiner as a TV critic and a two-time finalist (1989 and 1991) for the Pulitzer Prize in criticism. In 1995, she was one of the founding staffers of Salon.com and its first TV critic. Her reviews and pop cultural essays have been published in the New York Times, Rolling Stone and Variety.
